Enersense will continue to provide substation maintenance services for transmission system operator Fingrid under an option year included in the agreement. The total value of the agreement is approximately EUR 4 million, and it will remain in force until the end of 2027.
The option-year agreement with Fingrid covers substation maintenance in four regions: South Ostrobothnia, Central Ostrobothnia, Southwest Finland and Southeast Finland. Enersense has been responsible for maintaining Fingrid’s transmission grid substations in these regions for several years. This autumn, Enersense also won Fingrid’s substation maintenance contract in Lapland for the first time.
The agreement covers approximately 100 substation sites in total.
Substation maintenance includes inspections, maintenance of high-voltage equipment such as transformers, circuit breakers and disconnectors, as well as other maintenance work at substation sites.
Substation maintenance supports the reliability of the electricity grid
Regular maintenance helps ensure the operational reliability of substations throughout their lifecycle. Antti Vainionpää, Enersense’s Head of Maintenance & Services, emphasises the importance of thorough maintenance in preventing faults and ensuring a reliable supply of electricity.
“The use of the option year reflects our long-term cooperation with our customers and their trust in Enersense’s maintenance expertise. Long-term maintenance agreements are an important part of our business, and we are pleased to continue working to ensure the reliability of the electricity grid across Finland,” says Vainionpää.
The value of the agreement is approximately EUR 4 million.
