Catella Group has appointed Nils Sommersel as its new Chief Digital Officer. In this Group-level leadership role, Nils Sommersel will be responsible for driving Catella’s digital strategy, governance and transformation agenda across its pan-European platform.
The appointment reflects Catella’s continued focus on strengthening its digital capabilities and ensuring closer alignment between business priorities, technology development and data-driven decision-making. In the role, Nils Sommersel will lead the Group’s efforts to translate digital initiatives into tangible and measurable business value, with a focus on scalable platforms, governance structures and transformation programmes that support long-term growth and operational excellence.
Nils Sommersel has extensive leadership experience in data and digital strategy, most recently as Head of Digital Solutions at ATP Ejendomme, responsible for the company’s overall digital and data transformation. Prior to this he has also held senior roles within DEAS Group, Georg Jensen and Dell, with a proven track record in delivering digital platforms, governance and transformation that strengthen business performance.
In the role as Chief Digital Officer at Catella, Nils Sommersel will lead the Groups’ continued efforts to accelerate digital transformation across markets and business areas, with a particular focus on digital governance, platform modernisation, data enablement and the development of innovative solutions that enhance both client offering and internal efficiency.

Nils Sommersel will be based in Copenhagen and takes up the position with effect from June 1.
