Netum selected as the integration services provider for the City of Järvenpää
Netum has won the City of Järvenpää's tender for integration services. The procurement covers an expert team responsible for the city's centralised integration platform. The team will provide development, support, and maintenance services for the platform and its integrations.
The service is primarily delivered using the Frends integration platform and its capabilities. The use of other technologies is evaluated on a case-by-case basis. The Frends integration platform is provided as a SaaS service. The processes to be automated mainly involve system-to-system data transfers and scheduled data extractions from source systems into the City of Järvenpää’s data warehouse, as well as manual and resource-intensive tasks targeted for efficiency improvements through automation.
The City of Järvenpää has been developing integrations using its own Frends integration platform for several years. The development work is guided by the city’s architecture principles, which aim to centralise as much integration-related development as possible on a shared integration platform. The centralised operating model provides benefits such as cost efficiency, improved visibility into integrations, and a stronger ability to respond quickly to changing requirements.
The aim of the procurement is to continue a proven operating model with several years of positive experience in the City. At the same time, the goal is to further reduce manual, resource-intensive data transfer tasks, improve and accelerate decision-making, and enhance the overall understanding of how the city’s data is used and how its dependencies are structured.
"Modern and reliable integration services are critical to ensuring smooth organisational operations, particularly in environments with multiple business systems. When integrations are built within a centrally managed environment, changes can be implemented more quickly, monitoring becomes easier, and the overall system remains better controlled even as operations scale. We are very pleased to be part of this long-term cooperation with the City of Järvenpää ”, says Repe Harmanen, CEO of Netum Group Plc.
The invitation to tender was conducted under the dynamic purchasing system “IT Consulting 2023–2028 (DPS)” established by Hansel Ltd. The contract period is five (5) years, with an option to extend once for a maximum of three (3) additional years. The estimated total value of the procurement is approximately EUR 1.6 million. The contract will enter into force upon signing.
