Safra Sarasin Ltd. The completion of the transaction was subject to the receipt of certain customary regulatory and other approvals. All necessary approvals for the transaction have been received, and the transaction was completed on 2 March 2026. The purchase price received by Mandatum in the transaction completed today was approximately EUR 308 million. Certain items in accordance with the share purchase agreement have been deducted from the original purchase price announced on 10 March 2025, such as an adjustment of approximately EUR 8 million reducing the purchase price, announced by Mandatum on 23 January 2026, which was due to an administrative fine imposed on Saxo Bank. The company will use the proceeds to repay a EUR 200 million bank loan, which was taken out to finance the acquisition of Saxo Bank shares from Sampo plc in connection with the partial demerger. The transaction has no material impact on results, taking into account the transaction costs. Had the transaction been completed on 31 December 2025, Mandatum’s pro forma solvency ratio without transitional measures on technical provisions would have increased from 169 per cent to approximately 197 per cent as of 31 December 2025 as a result of the decreased solvency capital requirement. The completion of the transaction has no impact on Mandatum Trader’s customers. Mandatum Services Ltd will continue to provide the Trader service as a tied agent of Saxo Bank also after the completion of the transaction.

As long as money keeps flowing in at the previous and/or an accelerating rate, there will still be funds to distribute. They decided, moderately and wisely, that there’s no need to stress about distributing the Saxo assets in advance, as there’s plenty of time to return them later (or use them for something productive?) Dividend Proposal 2026 (2025) The distributable funds of Mandatum plc, the parent company of Mandatum Group, as of 31 December 2025, were 1,052,554,353.69 euros, of which the profit for the 2025 financial year was 318,087,485.90 euros. The Board of Directors proposes to the Annual General Meeting convening on 12 May 2026 that a dividend of 0.85 euros per share be distributed, totaling 427,292,239.20 euros. After taking the proposed dividend into account, Mandatum plc’s distributable funds are 625,262,114.49 euros. The remaining funds will be retained in the company’s equity. VS. last year Dividend Proposal 2025 (2024) The distributable funds of Mandatum plc, the parent company of Mandatum Group, as of 31 December 2024, were 1,066,246,724.11 euros, of which the profit for the 2024 financial year was 568,363,620.94 euros. The Board of Directors proposes to the Annual General Meeting convening on 15 May 2025 that a dividend of 0.66 euros per share be distributed, totaling 331,779,856.32 euros. After taking the proposed dividend into account, Mandatum plc’s distributable funds are 734,466,867.79 euros. The remaining funds will be retained in the company’s equity.

It will be interesting to see if there will be any flagging notifications. For example, Varma is quite close to the 5% threshold (as of Jan 31, holding 4.43%).

Good point, but I think the technical interest rate provision will be enough to be distributed even after 2035. In other words, excess capital will continue to be released even after the €2 extra pot in 2025–2028, so it’s hard to state an absolute right price. Personally, I wouldn’t sell at the €6.15–6.30 share price level the analysts are suggesting.

The decline in the share value should be taken into account here.

Mandatum announced it has appointed Janne Sarvikivi (MSc. Econ.) as Head of Mandatum&apos;s Institutional and Wealth Management segment. The position has been vacant since October when the previous head left their post. We originally expected a replacement appointment from within Mandatum, but after almost half a year of waiting, it was unsurprising that the new head was eventually found outside the company.
Sarvikivi comes to Mandatum from Nordea, where he has worked for over 15 years as Head of Equities Finland and, in recent years, as Managing Director of Equities Finland. We are neutral about the appointment at this point, as Sarvikivi seems to know the domestic customer base well based on his resume, even though he does not have actual asset management experience.
