I noticed the same thing, but after checking with a reliable source, it turned out that the skis are manufactured by Elan and have just had Peltonen logos placed on them. The same applies to many other strange-sounding ski brands, e.g., Fluege etc. Peltonen therefore does not have...

The market in Finland is small, of course, but there would certainly be more potential in Central Europe. The most sensible move would be to sell Peltonen, allowing both to focus on their respective segments and trim away any non-core operations if necessary.
