How could this be a buying opportunity now when the Social Democrats are leading the polls and the elections are just around the corner? Terveystalo has successfully taken legal action against its customer. I’ll think twice myself before going there next time with my employer’s insurance...

I disagree. Terveystalo also markets everything under the sun directly to the employees of their occupational health clients. Some employees then take the offers and some don’t. These days, you really can’t verify anything from a Terveystalo invoice anymore regarding patient safety...

Based on this news article, the ruling seems quite logical regarding the scope of the insurance coverage. The Terveystalo customer service representative did not have the authority to make decisions binding the insurance company, and the customer could not have reasonably understood...

Customer service is not a billable service in occupational health, or in healthcare in general. If you book a 30-minute phone consultation with a doctor just to reschedule your appointment, then it gets a bit more complicated.

That is exactly hiding behind the fine print. But yeah, If probably acted correctly. Let’s think about it from Terveystalo’s perspective. Or more generally, from the perspective of private clinics. What is the number one trump card? In my opinion, it’s the ease of the service combined...
