Here are Pauli’s preview comments as Kempower releases its Q4 results on Wednesday, February 11th.  Analyst Pauli Lohi will comment on the earnings release live starting at 9:25 AM (link). According to our estimates, revenue and earnings will remain close to the level of the comparison period due to the timing of deliveries. Powerdot (with Kempower chargers) and Decathlon partnership incoming?! Decathlon apparently uses Kempower chargers operated by, for example, Be.Ev in other countries too. I don’t know if an official news release will be issued about this, but it’s such a large player that it deserves a mention. There certainly are. That’s when the MCS hype really kicked off in earnest. It would be nice to see those Winter Days 2026 slides shown to the guests. If installations are 3-6 months from the order, then Q2/Q3 could be pleasant to watch. On top of that, the CMD surprises. Another great year ahead for shareholders!

Market growth will continue to fluctuate in the future, that much is clear – but it is not particularly serious in the big picture. A decline in competitiveness would be a disastrous development for the investment case, but it does not seem likely at the moment.

Where are Kempower’s moat and major references in the MCS business?  Ever since Kempower was founded, the idea was to develop chargers for commercial traffic (as it was feared they were already late to the passenger car market). This segment has seen significant R&D investment from the beginning, which is reflected in the technological sophistication and software of the distributed charging systems. It is possible for competitors to close this lead through R&D. Kempower has announced numerous customer accounts in the commercial charging sector and has been at the forefront of building the first MCS (Megawatt Charging System) chargers. EV Realty’s charging hub in California is the largest individual one in the US, and the same customer is building more.  Which large customer of Kempower is building more MCS charging stations in 2026 than E.On, Milence, or Tesla?  I am not trying to say that Kempower is the absolutely largest and strongest player in the market, but it is nonetheless among the top 5 in Western markets and appears to be growing its market share with strong technology. Alpitronic is larger than Kempower and has won more high-profile projects. Especially in Central Europe, Alpitronic has a significantly stronger market position than Kempower. Tesla, on the other hand, is particularly large and strong in the US. There is no denying these facts.
