Kempower appoints Calle Loikkanen to lead Kempower’s Investor Relations Kempower has appointed Calle Loikkanen (M.Sc. Econ) as the new Director, Investor Relations and M&A. He will be responsible for Kempower’s investor relations functions as well as the development of the company’s financial communications and capital market relations. Loikkanen will start in his position on March 2, 2026, and report to Kempower’s CFO Jukka Kainulainen. Loikkanen has over 15 years of experience in financial markets, equity research, and investor relations. He joins Kempower from Danske Bank, where he worked as a senior equity analyst responsible for several Finnish listed companies. Here are Pauli’s comments on how Kempower is renewing its global management team and organizational structure.  Kempower announced on Tuesday that it is renewing the company’s global management team and organizational structure with the aim of accelerating growth and innovation. The change is part of the implementation of the company’s new strategy, which the company will present under the leadership of its relatively new CEO Bhasker Kaushal at the CMD in Q2 2026. The changes will strengthen selected strategic areas such as technology development, software, and service business. This is more about evolution than revolution, as the changes are built around the existing core of the management team. We see the reorganization as a logical step for a rapidly developing and internationalizing company. I’m asking because I don’t know, and there are some brilliant people on this forum: Would Kempower have opportunities to expand into the power supply side of data centers? Apparently, large DC power supplies are used for certain applications there.

The Mercosur agreement naturally strengthens the potential competitiveness of Kempower and other European companies in South America. Many Chinese automakers, among others, operate in South America, and it’s likely that Asian competition will also be encountered in the charging sector. Therefore, I consider it likely that price competition in the region will be intense, even though the new trade agreement in principle strengthens the position of European manufacturers. So far, the South American market has been the responsibility of Kempower’s US office. However, this does not rule out deliveries from Europe, as has been the case at least partially with Canada. However, I do not expect the agreement to have significant short-term effects on Kempower’s order development. Kempower’s operations in South America have been non-existent, and it is uncertain whether the company will seriously start competing for this market—and if so, when. It should also be noted that the electrification of transport in South America is clearly lagging behind Western markets and Asia, meaning the market is currently small.

Fleet: 42 all-electric school buses (IC Bus, which also features V2G. Does this work with Kempower chargers?).  Charging infrastructure: 7 Kempower C800 power units have been installed at the depot, feeding a total of 52 DC charging points. Operator: Highland Electric Fleets (a significant partner in the US market).  52 charging points for a single site is a substantial delivery, and school buses are a massive market in the USA, which is now electrifying rapidly driven by NEVI and EPA (Clean School Bus Program) subsidies. Furthermore, new customers are finally being gained outside of California and the East Coast, from the American Deep South. While waiting for more information about the Donut’s (Kempower’s) battery, we can take a moment for some celebratory “torikahvit” (market square coffee) thanks to this.
