<div class="abstract">Abilia, a subsidiary to MedCap AB (publ) and part of Business Area Assistive Tech, has signed an agreement to acquire Picomed AS in Norway and ITS Designs Limited (Alert-IT) in the UK. The transaction is expected to close in the beginning of October.</div>The acquired companies have a combined turnover of approx. 70 MNOK and 26 employees. The acquisition complements the offering of Abilia and the Business Area Assistive Tech in the areas of Environmental Control, Communication and Alarm.The purchase price consists of an initial cash payment of 51 MNOK at closing and an additional payment of up to 16 MNOK provided that certain conditions are fulfilled latest by the end of 2027. The acquisition is expected to have a marginally positive impact on MedCap's earnings during the current financial year.Tove Christiansson, Head of Business Area Assistive Tech and CEO of Abilia comments the acquisition: "The acquisition of Picomed and Alert-IT broadens Abilia's portfolio and is in line with the strategy to build on Abilia's strong position within assistive products and welfare technology.
