Orkla's consolidated portfolio companies (including Orkla ASA) delivered underlying EBIT (adj.) growth of 8.1% in the third quarter. EBIT (adj.) for the Orkla group amounted to 2.1 billion, an increase of 1.9%. The difference in growth is mainly explained by a stronger Norwegian krone.

The consolidated portfolio companies delivered organic revenue growth of 3.1%. Volume/mix growth accounted for 2.7%, with most of the portfolio companies contributing. Orkla's operating revenues amounted to 17.5 billion.

Profit from Jotun was 563 million, a decline of 6.6%. Jotun's sales growth was 13% and operating profit growth was 1.3%, adjusted for negative currency translation effects.

Earnings per share (adj.) for the quarter was NOK 1.94, up 4.9% compared to the same period last year, driven by EBIT (adj.) growth in the consolidated portfolio companies and share repurchases.

In September, Orkla initiated a new share buyback programme of up to 4 billion, which will run until 31 December 2027 at the latest. In the same month, Orkla Snacks completed its acquisition of The European Candy Group, to support the continued growth of BUBS.

“We delivered a good third quarter with volume growth and broad-based progress across the portfolio. Orkla has now delivered underlying EBIT (adj.) growth in every quarter of the strategy period. We look forward to our Capital Markets Day on 1 December, where we will present new targets and ambitions for the period to 2030,” says Orkla President and CEO Nils K. Selte.
