Kempower operates in the industrial sector. The company is a developer of charging solutions and services aimed at the automotive sector. The range mainly includes charging posts, stations, sockets, and associated electronic equipment. In addition to the main business, various after-sales services and technical support are offered. The largest operations are found in the Nordic region and parts of Europe.

Trump has announced major relaxations to car fuel consumption requirements. The administration is generally anti-electric car. Below is a quote from yesterday’s Kauppalehti article (7:00 PM): “People paid too much for cars that didn’t work properly. Now all that nonsense will be removed from cars,” Trump declared. The decision is part of a broader push against electric vehicles. The Trump administration and the Republican-controlled Congress have already previously removed tax benefits for electric cars and overturned the state of California’s special right to set its own, stricter emission limits than the federal government. In the EU, car manufacturers are also currently lobbying strongly against tightening emission limits. Unlike in the United States, Europe does not actually want to directly bring back internal combustion engine cars, but rather aims for a technology-neutral new emission standard that takes into account the car’s entire life cycle emissions.

The streetscape is changing. Almost imperceptibly. The statistics on electric truck registrations for 2025 will be interesting. The feeling that their number is increasing rapidly is strong. The feeling that their charging needs, and especially charging speeds, are increasing, is likewise strong. The feeling that Kempower will do well in this is also strengthening. After the turn of the year, we will know more.

Be on the lookout for 500kW speeds covering the East Coast in Q1” Let’s hope that new stations will indeed cover the entire East Coast. If the comment’s mention of “500kW speeds” still refers to Kempower’s equipment, these would likely be the first Mega-satellites on the American continent. Furthermore, the mention of exceeding 0.5 MWh per day with a single dispenser is a huge amount. Roughly calculated using averages, it means about five hours of charging per day, or over ten charging sessions. If quiet night hours are disregarded, the charger’s utilization rate has been over 37%. With these figures, it would be no surprise if further investments in Kempower started to attract interest.
