Oma Savings Bank is a Finnish bank that serves private and corporate customers nationwide through its branch offices and digital service channels. The company focuses primarily on retail banking operations and provides its clients banking services through its own balance sheet as well as by acting as an intermediary for its partners' products, such as credit, investment, and loan insurance products. OmaSp is also engaged in mortgage banking operations.

That “impaired” loan portfolio has shrunk by €60M, which is a positive thing. Oma SP is surviving the Pasis’ mess:

Looks like the situation with impairments have stabilised, from first glance. Profit outlook for 2026 also in line with my expectations.. Dividend increase also surprised positively.. The main question now how investors see x0.6 P/BV (price to book value)  ratio..

It’s positive that Keskinen and Sarajärvi are quite credible businessmen and are in leadership positions themselves. Business operations are being restructured, and there is certainly an interest in navigating through these challenging situations. Secondly, the debt is apparently secured by new and otherwise high-quality real estate assets, and the financing is directed toward credible and sensible projects. Things could be quite different in the real estate sector. Those are the positives.

As a side note, this is still missing potential loans from Gapcon / Casyr, which were discussed here at some point, approximately €10M. In addition to this, projects on the Turtio / Korpela axis worth about €49M can be counted as an additional risk to the total, bringing the direct risk for OmaSp close to €150 million. This matches quite well with OmaSp’s own announcements regarding identified high-risk customer exposures. I haven’t bothered to go through these financial statement details myself.
